This photo was taken at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade located at at Universal Studios Florida/Islands of Adventure in Orlando, in February, during a company trip. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter spans across two interconnected parks, inviting guests to step into the snow-capped village of Hogsmeade beneath Hogwarts Castle and explore the bustling cobblestone streets of Diagon Alley which are connected by a journey aboard the Hogwarts Express.
The world of Harry Potter is now familiar to everyone, and millions of people have read the books in an era when slow, concentration-heavy activities are pushed into the background. However, myth has not lost its importance over the centuries, as humanity seems to need the representation of archetypes that can also be found in real life; after all, the main difference between the Order of the Phoenix and the heroes of 1956 is roughly that the former used magic while the latter fought oppression with Molotov cocktails. Our symbols naturally change in form, but remain identical in their essence, as one cannot fail to notice the uncanny resemblance between the locations of ancient myths and theme parks.
